My week on Instagram
Good Afternoon,
I decided every week I'll be posting my photos that I post on Instagram from the week! Here are this weeks Instagram photos......
On saturday I went to the Houston Art Car Parade. After the Art Car Parade we took our parents to Midtown for the first time!
We went to Little Woodrow, lets just say the mom's loved it but the dad's were not so happy with the idea of being around a bunch of 20 year old kids.
I also planted my first succulent plant! Look how cute it is. Lets hope I can keep it alive.

Happy Spring!
Hey Y'all!
Happy Spring! I am so happy spring is finally here. I was so sick of the cold, wet, rainy weather Houston was getting almost every day. Right now in Houston it is sunny and 75! Can the weather get any better then that? Recently I have been doing a lot of shopping and I wanted to share the outfit I wore on the first day of spring.

Look for less Taylor Swift!
Hey Y'all,
I don't know about you but I LOVE Taylor Swifts style! I love how she mixes girly and modern. I seriously wish I could just raid her closet, too bad she is like 5'10 and I'm only 5'1! I searched the internet looking for one of my favorite Taylor Swift looks. There are so many amazing looks! It was hard to pick just one. I ended up picking this look below because I loved how she mixed the baby blue pinstriped button down with the pink shorts! Click the links below to find budget friendly items to get this Taylor Swift look for less!
You can find a similar baby blue pinstriped button down here from Forever 21 for only $19.90!
I also found some peachy pink shorts from JCrew factory. Which is one of my favorite stores! You can get these shorts for $29.90 Watch out JCrew is always having sales!
Last but not least oxford flats! I actually bought a pair of oxford flats because Taylor Swift seems to wear then with tons of outfits. Heres a really cool pair I found from DSW. The oxford flats only cost $39.94
To recreate this Taylor Swift outfit for LESS it only cost $69.84
Hope you enjoy this blog post!

Some good news!
Hey Y'all!
I have some great news to share with all my awesome readers. I hope you're ready for this because I am so excited to tell you. Drum roll please........I passed the Generalist EC-6 (191) exam!!!! I am now a certified teacher in the state of Texas! This was such a big accomplishment for me because I am someone who struggles when it comes to taking exams. I'm glad the exam is over with because now I can focus my time on Pretty Pink Nails and being a substitute teacher!
Hope y'all have a great day!

Cabining with the Sotos!
Good Morning Everyone!
We finally made it to spring break! This year I spent a portion of my spring break camping with my family right outside of Austin, Texas in a little town called Buchanan Dam. My aunt found this super cute camp site called Black Rock. Well it wasn't really "camping" because we did not camp in tent instead we stayed in small little cabins.
Inside the cabins were two sets of bunk beds and a few shelves. For some reason the cabin my family stayed in did not have any shelves. There are no bathrooms or kitchens in the cabins. When I heard there were no bathrooms, I got kind of scared because I am someone who drinks tons of water and we all know where that leads. There are a few community bathrooms on the camp site. Luckily there was a bathroom right across the street from our cabins. The community bathrooms were really clean, they even had showers in them.
Here is the view from outside our cabin!
Of course we had to bring giant jenga!
You could always find me next to the fire because it was a little chilly during the day with the wind blowing.
How pretty is this sunset?
Having fun blowing some bubbles.
Here's another picture from outside our cabin.
My dad cooking some fajitas! YUM!
On the way back home to Houston we had to go eat at Salt Lick! I'm not a big meat fan but their brisket was so good!
I love spending time with my family and going camping was prefect. We were able to escape from our crazy lives and get to enjoy each others company.
Hope you enjoyed this blog post!

Ashley

Ready for summer!
So I don't know about you but I'm so ready for summer! I think we are all sick of this cold weather plus it's making us pale! Lately I've been looking at tons of swimwear online. I am so excited to slip on my bikinis again. Last summer I stepped outside my comfort zone and bought a one piece and high waisted swimsuit. Little did I know these two swimsuits became my go to swimsuits. Last year I had the hardest time finding high waited swimsuits. This year one pieces and high waisted swim suits are every where! Here are some photos of the swim suit I got last year. The one piece was from Dillard's. I loved how it had the little heart on the back. The high waisted swim suit is also from Dillard's.
